Founded in September 2025, Local Voices Dance is a movement born from the heart of Switzerland’s artistic community. We unite to voice our perspectives and highlight the challenges faced by artists within our own borders.

Too often, local talent is asked to perform for free, while significant resources are devoted to inviting artists from abroad
— despite the high quality and immense potential that thrives here. Many organizers, whether through ignorance or disregard, fail to recognize the dedication, craft, and cultural richness embedded in each performance. Artists are handed the card of “exposure” but offered no fair pay, no acknowledgment, and little respect for the true value of their art.

LoVD — Local Voices Dance was born as a response. A platform to advocate for recognition, appreciation, and fair treatment.
